What is the difference between yoga and other forms of exercise?


Traditional exercise is goal-oriented. How many push-ups can I do? Can I touch my toes? Yoga, on the other hand, is a process. The key is to focus awareness on what you are feeling moment to moment as you move into and out of the postures. In exercise, you fail if you miss your goal. In yoga, there is no failure. You succeed by staying present in your body and in your mind. Are you willing to breathe, relax, feel, watch and allow?

It's a journey and like any journey, it can be sometimes joyful and sometimes challenging but always worth the trip! Take the inner quest!

Prices

$10 per class if you register for a series. $60.00 for a 6-week series. (Checks can be made payable to Margaret Kirschner)

$12 for a drop-in class

Private Yoga Session
$50. per private session
a private session is a one-on-one yoga therapy session (click on the yoga therapy tab up above for more information) or a private group session (the $50 fee. would be distributed among all participants. For example, with a group of 5 participants each person pays only $10.)
